If you ever go to a Bass Pro Shop they have a saying above the door "Welcome hunters, fisherman and all other liars"!! So with that I will say to the best of my memory here is how I remember these events!
1. Henry Sr. did catch the most and the biggest fish Labor Day weekend at Lake Gaston one year.
2. Jared I think actually caught the all time biggest but we didn't clean it that night and the next day it was only bones...something ate it on the stringer. As you can imagine alcohol was involved.
3. Lizzy did fish and did catch these fish...I think and you know my mother would never lie??
4. Stephanie claims to have the biggest catfish out of Lake Gaston but I can't find a picture of it so it doesn't count...her claim is she out fished the Hagadorn and Robinson Boys!! Actually I think she did??
5. Larry Jr. did catch the biggest at 4th lake...well that weekend but he was still a kid then so we gave him some glory.
6. Larry Jr. would not kiss the fish when asked to even after asking his big sister Barbara if Henry Sr was really serious about kissing the fish.
7. Catherine did ask me to teach her how to clean catfish which I did and she did clean the rest of them that day...although I have never seen her do this again!!
As a side note we went to the Adirondack's in our jeep and Erin was with us along with Larry Jr. Well back in the day we didn't have Sirius or any radio stations that would pick up in the Adirondack's and that trip we only remembered to bring 1 cassette tape...Little River Band...which we had to listen to for at least 8 hours up and 8 hours back. Now I loved that band but 8 hours was enough. Sadly I have to say that it was better then what Larry was listening to...Billy Jean!!
Anyway I hope you have enjoyed the Labor Day/Summer ending pictures and I have lots more fun things to share over the next few months. Hopefully I won't run out of ideas or pictures!
