Christmas Eve

Well kids Christmas Eve we continued with our new tradition of going to church with the Massey family and then heading to Sean & Taylors for some snacks, cookies and adult beverages!  This year they invited some of Vickie's friends & neighbors (also referred to as her wine drinking buddies) plus Cassie, Jack & Bella were in town.  Stephanie & Shawn were at Melinda's house for their family gathering.

Not saying that we were behind but this was Christmas Eve during the day...nothing wrapped or under the tree!

 

We used to always go to the Ferentz's for Christmas Eve but Dawn uninvited us a few years ago and then we started our new tradition of going to Sean & Taylor's.  Truth be told she really only needed a one year break but I love giving her a hard time about cutting us out!  This year they tried to lure us back by sending this picture to us in the midst of celebrating!  Now this was a tradition that we participated in many Christmas Eve's!!!

 Taylor really wasn't drinking out of the bottle...she was just being a good hostess pouring everyone wine...or as she said...that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

 

So as you know there are some snow angels popping up here and there along with a challenge...well Taylor & Stephanie decided to act on the challenge and did a mud angel!  Unfortunately Stephanie accidently deleted the video so we only have pictures to prove it.

Well kids we had another busy weekend full of fun times!

Everything got started on Friday night when Rob & Dawn came over with some chicken wings and beer!  It was a beautiful night outside and we sat on the patio and caught up on everything that had been going on.  We have not seen them since the spring so a lot has happened over the summer including Jessie going to ECU!!  Go Pirates.

Well they left and I was ready for bed but as usual your mother was ready for the hot tub...once again by herself.  After giving her some grief about going by herself I went upstairs and she headed to the bathroom.  Well the next thing I know I woke up at 2:30am to something pounding...as I got my senses together I went out in the hallway and looked over the banner...yup she had locked herself out!  She had been trying to wake me for the last 3 hours and I was dead asleep!  The real problem was she was naked so she couldn't even go to the neighbors house to have them call me.  She tried to make a bed figuring it would be a while but that just didn't work.  Anyway all ended up ok and it just made for a sleepy day on Saturday!

Well since our schedules are what they are we had never celebrated Shawn & Jared's birthdays and as you know Friday was Taylors birthday so today was the day.  Everyone had little something's going on but could make it for dinner except for Ryan and Dee who had a work dinner that they had to attend.

If you get all 4 of your bean bags in the hole in the same round you get to sign the boards...as you can see Shawn accomplished it and did just that!

It was a fun time with Big Al's chicken wings, pizza, corn hole and plenty of beverages.  In between there was a little football and of course the race.  Sure would have been nice to have that outdoor TV already set up!  Tomorrow's blog will have the gift opening.

Hodge Podge Day

Well kids sometimes there are photo's that I think you might like to see but not that many to dedicate an entire day to so I thought today I would combine some of them for you.  It's a funny thing that when I started this thing I meant for it to be a single picture or maybe 2 but now I feel like I am cheating you if there aren't at least 5!!

Enjoying a cocktail on a beautiful Saturday Night but your mother talked so much we didn't end up eating till 10pm and 2 nights in a row I didn't get to bed until midnight!!  I just can't hang with this Clark gang.

Mom, Patti and Jen working a special event at Lowe's Food.  Banks brought the tractor up for them to use as part of the props.

When we were in Tombstone I thought these bleached out cow heads were cool and would add to my Man's Room but since we were flying I didn't get one.  Grandma and Grandpa Clark ended up down there one day and bought me one then brought it back with them.  I know call me goofy!
