Cyr Lake House Tradition

Well kids as you may or may not remember we tried to get a tradition going with our place at Lake Gaston that was jumping in the lake at 5am.  I think most of us did it but that was about it. 

The Cyr Lake House tradition is taking a shot of S'more flavored vodka with everyone as a group.  I can see these pictures becoming framed and on their wall of fame!  Marie took the picture while all of us took our shots and she got some great shots.  As a matter of fact there were so many that I decided to do a separate post so I could include all the good ones.  Make sure you click on the pictures so they expand and you look close at everyone's expressions.

The Cyr Lake House

Well kids as you know last Sunday and Monday we went to visit some friends at Lake Gaston.  Jeff Cyr is another Vestal friend who lives in Richmond, VA.  Jeff and Susie have been going to Lake Gaston for about 5 years renting a place out by the dam.  Last fall they ran across this place that was for sale and couldn't resist the deal.

The house was built in 1973 and was owned by a guy who was a DC lobbyist.  This house has tons of space and an unbelievable amount of storage.  Jeff and Susie are still in the project stage but they make time to enjoy the lake, boating, friends and other fun stuff associated with Lake Gaston.

You can say what you want but we know we are stud's...old but still stud's...ok well maybe we won't wake board, ski or jump off the 2nd floor of the dock...ok well maybe we are studs in our own minds

Jeff and Susie thanks again for inviting us...we had a blast!  Great fun, great food, great place and great company!  Oh yea today Susie turns 50 so send her a Happy Birthday wish!!

A Pirate's Wedding!

Well kids New Year's Eve we attended another great wedding...Mike Robinson and Carolyn Carroll were married at Fearrington Village in Pittsboro, NC!  The reason I called it a Pirate's wedding is both are graduates from ECU...East Carolina University home of the ECU Pirate's!!!  What is also special about this fact is Mike's father Tom graduated there and as you know so did Jared...I won't mention the fact that Sandra Bullock did too....no name dropping here!

The location of the wedding was like Stephanie's where you were married in one section and had the reception in another.  They had a live band, plenty of dancing, tons of food, some cool wedding idea's and as you can imagine plenty of alcohol was involved!  Yahoooo...oh yea I was the DD.

 

Anyway it was a great evening and a ton of fun which is always the case when the Robinson family is involved!  Your mother and I know all of their family so it is always nice to see Joe, Anna, Betty, Andy and all the brothers/sisters/wives/husbands/kids!  They treat us like we are family and that we were the most important people that showed up to celebrate with them.  We all like to tell stories (some true some questionable but who cares) and catch up on what everyone is doing.  BTW Tom and Clarissa named all the boys after Tom's brothers so it gets confusing when I try to explain who is who so I started with "brother" or "son".

As an added bonus we got to see several people from our Vestal group...and boys we may have an "in" at Lake Gaston!!  We stayed in Apex with Robyn & Mike at a Holiday Inn Express.
