NY visit...the houses I grew up in

I am in NY working this week and I am staying with my parents.  Whenever I visit it brings back some great memories of growing up but to be honest we are spoiled in the Charlotte area with our growth, new buildings, new homes and all the things that we have because not all cities have that.  I will say they still have some great locally owned restaurants in this area and none of us will ever forget Speedies and Consol's Pizza!

As I thought about the POD I thought that the kids would enjoy seeing the houses that I grew up in.  In case you forgot I started this POD as a method of showing our kids pictures.

The ranch house was in Loudonville, NY from 1961-1968

Latham, NY from 1968-1973

Apalachin, NY 1973 -1980 (Grandparents still there)

This last one is your great grandparent Hagadorn's house in Menands, NY.  While I never lived here I always thought the interesting part about their house was that Great Grandpa Hagadorn saved his money and paid a contractor to build the foundation, then saved some more and paid the framer and so on...their house was completely paid for when they moved in and they moved in the year your Grandfather Hagadorn was born 1938...boy have times changed!

  1. I did not ever hear that story about Grandpa's house. You are a wealth of information!
