Images of Christmas Past #11

For many many years we would travel to your Grandparent Clark's house in Silver Spring, MD to celebrate Christmas.  We would always go the weekend before Christmas and as you can imagine it was a fast and furious trip!

The weekend was full of watching football, throwing the football, opening presents and eating cookies.  Grandma Clark would always cook a big dinner which everyone looked forward to...as you will see Uncle Tom, Auntie, Cassie, Larry Jr. and sometimes Robbie would all show up for the festivities!

BTW you can't see it but I was wearing "The Sweater"!

As time went on this great tradition faded away (not without your grandmother kicking and screaming)...you kids got jobs, the trip was a lot longer from Charlotte, your grandparents started traveling earlier and most importantly they sold their house!

Great memories, great food and fun times!

  1. Great memories, for sure! IF/when we buy another house, will we pick up where we left off???? Will any of the grandkids and their families join us?? Lots of good noise and commotion filled the air then, too. I'm baking cookies today and reminiscing about Christmases past. So glad we have the memories!
