Over the years we have visited several great houses that were decorated to the max...who remembers the one in Richmond, VA? They wrote it up in the paper when we lived there and said that the owner turns them on Thanksgiving weekend and off New Year's Day and it cost him an extra $1500 on his electric bill and that was back in the late 80's. A lot of money to entertain people you don't know!
Other towns/events that had some nice lights include Roanoke Rapids, Raleigh, Downtown Concord, McAdenville and the Charlotte Motor Speedway. I posted some houses from when your mother and Robyn went to Downtown Concord in 2008 and when we went to McAdenville in 2009.
Enjoy if you must!
I saved the best one for last...ours. One thing about it we won't have a $1500 electric bill!!
I have one decoration outside - that is a plastic Winnie the Pooh on the porch and the only reason that is out there is because it survived the flood but not good enough to come back in the house. So you have even more decorations outside than I do!!
