Anniversary Weekend at the Beach

Well kids as you know next to Lake Gaston your mother's 2nd favorite place is the beach!  As you have seen in past blogs we used to go quite a bit but as the years go by it has been less and less...one reason is I hate going to the beach...the heat, the sand, the kids, the cost, the traffic...need I go on?  But once a year I do it to keep peace in the family.

This usually happens around our anniversary and last weekend was open so off we went.  The first stop of course was Ella's.  Something different for me...fried shrimp and your mother had a seafood platter.

Most of the time when we go to Myrtle Beach we end up staying at Kingston Plantation.  We have been there several times and it is one of those places that you can park the car on Friday and not drive again until you leave on Sunday.

We arrived in time to see the sunset and then we headed to the pool for a couple drinks and a dip...once we arrived and saw how many kids were still there we changed our plans and went to the hot tub.

As you know somehow feet texting became the trend of the weekend...this was at the pool after most of the kids left!

Around 10pm they started shooting off some fireworks just past the pier so we watched them and then headed to bed.

The next morning we were up early for breakfast and then straight to the beach.  I almost made it till 1pm and then headed for some AC.

At 2pm your mother came up and we had lunch and then headed to the greatest bar on the east coast...Ocean Annie's!  But I guess since I filled this one up you will have to wait till the next blog...sorry men but stay tuned because you are going to like the pictures!!

Lunch at the Embassy...in the AC!!

BTW these are not our feet but we started getting return feet texts!!  Top one is Stephanie at the Lawn Mower race and the bottom is Sean/Taylor at the pool.

  1. Looks like a great time! I like that your pool was open late; most of the places we always went it closed at like 7 pm.

  2. Another great anniversary for the Hagadorn's. Looks like you had a good time and you can never miss Ella's when you are there. We love that place. Not sure if we have been to Ocean Annie's but it does sound familiar, maybe from both of you talking about it. Anther fun weekend!!
