Cassie & Jack Visit

 

Barbara received a surprise text from Cassie Friday afternoon asking if we were going to be around this weekend.  They had a family weekend trip planned for the beach but with Hurricane Sandy blowing through Ocean City, MD they couldn't go down there.
 

 

For those of you that know them you know they are night owls and they would need that trait Friday night.  They all piled into the van and started their trip to NC.  They were traveling down 81 towards 77 and in Roanoke they started seeing the battery warning light come on.  They stopped at a Pilot station and thought it was the alternator.  They ended up sleeping in the van in the parking lot Friday night.  The lady that was running the store, husband stopped in to see her and ended up helping Jack fix the van.  I told Jack that it was a good thing it was him and not me because he would still be sitting there.

Anyway they took the alternator to Advance Auto where the guy told him it was not the alternator and they just needed a battery.  Back to the car, put the alternator back on, put the new battery in and at 11:30am Saturday they were back on their way.  They arrived here around 2pm.

 

Larry, Jane, Grant, Ryan, Dee and Stephanie came over for hamburgers and to catch up.  Sean & Taylor were at the State game Saturday but stopped by on Sunday and Jared already had plans.
