Last year my Mom, Dad, David and I were able to attend the greatest finish in cup history! We met David in Boynton Beach and both arrived about the same time after traveling all day. We caught up and went to dinner at Outback. By the way my Dad and I always count on David to be the DD...well when we stepped up to the bar and asked who needed a drink he ordered one...we said no problem Mom is still here...yea you guessed it she ordered one also! Luckily none of us drank much and David got us home.
The next morning we headed to the race and it was a fairly easy trip but in south Florida you don't pay for tolls you just go under them and they bill you later which my Dad is still holding over our heads!
The truck is so tall or they are so short that they can't even look in the window
It was a very windy day and we had some rain but the race was exciting.
The rain is messing up my hair!
Tony wins the championship
On Monday morning we got up and drove to David's house in Palm Harbor for a quick visit with Diane. We ate lunch at Molly Goodheads which is one of my favorite restaurants.
That night we ate at The Lucky Dill which was outstanding and is one of Diane's favorite restaurants.
The next day we were back on the road heading to NC. It sure was a lot of driving for 4 days but also a ton of fun.
So glad to finally see pics of the awesome weekend I couldn't go to!! It sure was tough manning the fort here, but so glad you all got to enjoy yourselves!! G O J I M M I E ! ~Barbara
ReplyDeletePictures are great but memories are even better. Not sure if you remember Henry, but after putting the bag over my head (thanks for putting that one in), I found a rain poncho at the bottom of my bag. Again those 10 minute memories !! It was a super weekend and the race was one of the best. Loved Homestead...lucky David and Diane are there right now. I agree with Diane...love the Lucky Dill. And for your father....GO JR!!!!!!!!!!!!
