Christmas bonding time with the Kids

Well kids as you know we decided that this weekend your mother and I would visit each of your houses to see your decorations and spend some Christmas bonding time together!

We heading to Jared's house around noon time and spent several hours visiting, shooting pool, hanging out and watching ECU kick some butt and then end up losing.  Jared and Lee were there the entire time but Blake & Sarah showed up for a few minutes.

Jared, Lee and your mother cooked pizza in a box for everyone!

I know that you kids know but I am not sure if everyone else knows that Jared bought a new car last weekend.  He bought a 2012 Nissan Pathfinder and it is nice!  It has 3rd row seating but I doubt a guy my size would fit back there.  Part of his negotiating was to swap out the cloth interior for leather which will be done this Friday.  He also ordered a new fancy stereo system with a GPS.

Once we left Jared's we headed home to feed Rita then over to Sean & Taylor's house.   They also had a full day of bonding time since they celebrated at Taylor's Aunts (Eddie's sister) house in Columbia, SC and then entertained us.

Taylor cooked us a pot roast and all the trimmings to go with it.  It was almost a do over from Jared's house...football, shooting pool, hanging out and visiting!  In case you haven't noticed the pool table is complete with the new felt and it turned out great!!

Fun relaxing time today...the way that Christmas should be!  Thanks Jared, Lee, Sean and Taylor.

When you get on the blog again make sure you look back because today is going to be a bonus day showing Ryan, Dee, Shawn and Stephanie's houses but it might be late tonight or early Monday morning before I update the blog.

  1. I've already had the BEST present so far! Sorry we "asked ourselves over" but it was the best day! I had so much fun visiting, playing pool, even tho I'm REALLY, REALLY rusty. Taylor promised to hid a key so that I can come over and practice...watch out boys...If I get my touch back, you're in trouble!! Your homes were wonderful, the food amazing, bonding time priceless!!! love, Mom-Barbara

  2. You guys did better than me....I worked all day and when I got home I the boys had bought Consols pizza for us (even though I had it the night before with Mom/Dad). They spent 5 whole minutes with me and then headed upstairs to play games. BUT I did get a free meal which is a treat! Everyone's house looks great and congrats to Jared on the new car.

  3. Nice blog today. It was great seeing you guys and the kids even if it was pictures over the internet. It looks like the two younger boys have taken after their mother in regard to celebrating Christmas, rather than their humbug father.

Henry, I think you should construct the rock wall in the back yard to go along with the new patio. It would look fabulous and really set off your back yard, plus there would be less grass to cut and more spots for Barb to plant flowers and bushes. I could advise you, but the three day rule would definitely be in effect.

Looking forward to seeing the next installment of the blog with Ryan & Steph and their spouses.

    Go Skins!
