Grandparent's Hagadorn Visit

Well kids as you know on Wednesday your grandparents Hagadorn drove down to Concord from NY to spend some time with us.  As you heard in an earlier post this is a yearly tradition that is always based on the weather.  This year they made it but ran into bad weather in lower PA and at some points could only drive 20 mph!  So the 11 hour trip took 13.5 hours.  They were tired and aggravated when they arrived so we stuck close to the house and enjoyed some spaghetti.

On Thursday all you kids came over for Grandma's special Prime Rib dinner.  After dinner we opened presents and as usual everyone was spoiled.  This year all my siblings, their spouses and your mother and I went in together to buy them a generator for their house so there wasn't much for them to open tonight.  We actually gave them the generator early when Hurricane Sandy hit just in case they lost power.

On Friday your mother and Grandmother went shopping while we relaxed.  Friday night we went to dinner at Zio's...Sean, Taylor, Jared, Stephanie and Lee met us there for beer & pizza.  From there we took a quick trip to Jared's to show them his new house and then went straight home.

Fun times, great food and great company!

  1. Looks like everyone had a great time. But I am not sure about you allowing them to drive in the snow!!!!

  2. We had such a good time with all our family as always and you surprised us with so many gifts. And thanks Barb...got a good start on next years Christmas shopping. We thought the trip down was tough...a walk in the woods compared to driving back to NY.
Snowstorm was awful but made it home safe and sound. Staying put for awhile. Thanks again all for a super time.
