Robert Hopkins & Melinda Harrell Wedding

Well kids as you know yesterday December 29, 2012 Robert and Melinda got married.  The ceremony was held at St. Mary's Chapel in downtown Charlotte.  The church has a long history and is a very popular place to get married as a matter of fact Taylor's Grandmother (Maw Maw) was married there many years ago but I won't tell what year or how old she was!

 
They brought all the Poinsettia's and let everyone take one home...OK your mother took 2!

The ceremony was great and the church was perfect.  They chose a pastor that made everyone feel at ease and added some comedy to the ceremony.

Jared & Melinda have a special relationship and he wanted to stand up to proclaim his love for her when the pastor asked if anyone had any objections...Sean suggested that they all look to the heavens for guidance and luckily God told him to keep his mouth shut!!  I heard that he was offered $500 to do it.

After the ceremony we went to LaPaz Restaurant for some lunch and to celebrate the marriage.

They invited all the kids to the wedding which was very nice and everyone had a great time.  Ryan had to work and Dee couldn't make it but everyone else showed up.

For those of you that don't know Melinda is Shawn's Mom.  Even though we are connected through marriage we have all become very good friends and we always have a great time together.  They attend all our family events so everyone knows them from our parents to our close friends!

Congratulations Robert & Melinda!  Enjoy your honeymoon.

    Looks like a great day! I would have chipped in to Jared's fund for him to proclaim his love also!!! Congrats to them!

    Looks like a beautiful wedding and everyone had a good time! I just love Jared! I still think he and my niece Chelsea should meet. Congratulations Melinda and Robert!

    What a wonderful wedding for 2 great people!! Welcome to the family, Robert!!! Now it's official! Loved the venue, from the historic church, to the close restaurant which was very good and trendy, to the beautiful flowers to the amazing couple and service. Melinda,you looked so stunning that I really, really had to contain Jared from jumping out of his seat to join you and profess his undieing love. Lucky for you Robert that I was able to handle Jared! Love and best wishes, Barbara PS, Cathy, since Melinda rejected Jared for Robert, maybe it IS time that Jared and Chelsea meet up!!!

    Thank all of you for being there - it wouldn't have been the same without you. (There was a reason I didn't have the pastor ask for objections) - couldn't have Jared telling all our secrets. We are both very honored to be part of the Hagadorn Family and look forward to many many years of fun and festivities of every kind. Love all of you,
