Images of Christmas Past #13

Well kids for years we would go to Christmas Eve Mass and on the way home we would stop at the Ferentz house to wish them a Merry Christmas!!

We always looked forward to going since they would have plenty of food to eat and booze to drink...although it seemed like shots became a yearly event!

Most of the time it would be the four Ferentz's...Rob, Dawn, Jessie and Eric, their friends Bobby and Jennifer along with their kids and us.  Each year some of you would come but only a couple times did we have all of you there at the same time.

Since their kids are younger then you guys there were a couple of times that we tried to help put gifts together but that never turned out well...yes alcohol was involved!

The pictures below are from our 2009 visit.  Cassie and Jack were in town that year for Christmas so they came along with us.

Anyway like many things, this came to an end after 2010 when Dawn decided she had had enough of us!  Luckily Taylor has stepped up to the plate and now we go to mass at Taylor's church then to their house for a Christmas Eve cheer.

Thanks for some great memories Rob & Dawn even though some years the memories are a little foggy!

  1. hmmmm - a pattern of YOUR sweater and alcohol seems to be involved in a lot of these stories.

  2. I thought since it was Christmas and the kids like my sweater so much I would wear it all weekend...Friday to work, Saturday to Jared's, Sean's & Taylor's and Sunday to Ryan, Dee's, Stephanie's and Shawns! Man I love that sweater!!

  3. That sweater has made family news blogs more than people did Henry :-) Great story of Rob & Dawn...way to go Dawn. Busy day here getting our dinner organized...then mass at 4 but I have to be there by 3 to make sure I get a seat. Dad's dropping me & Sandy picking me up after. Parking will be horendous because of us building a new church...school no longer available so all masses at the church ..2 at 4...2 at 6 so no a good parking thing. Have a fun Christmas Eve....hi to all.
