They also put some lava rocks in the fire pit. The fire pit does not have any blocks under it so the theory is if you don't burn too much the ash will go into the ground.

Backyard Project Day #6-Friday December 28th
Well kids today they got the top on the bar which took a very long time. They hand chisel out the entire outside of the slate to give it the rough look. Each slate piece weighed about 200 pounds. They did get it all done except sealing the cracks and putting a seal on the top.

This looks nice. In helping Mom/Dad with the computer yesterday I checked out the POD at their house. That is when I figured out I wasn't getting this real time and its already done. Guess I should have noticed the date at the top....lol Guess age is setting in!
