Backyard Project Day #7 Monday December 31st

Well kids they put all the finishing touches on the patio and I think we are ready to go. 

They still have some siding to fix but they are having trouble finding ours...each siding piece has a number that you key into the system and it can order it but our number is not coming up in the system for some reason??

 

 

Jumping ahead to Saturday January 12, 2013

 

The bar stools came in on Thursday so I put them together Saturday morning...thankfully they were pretty easy to do so the boys didn't even have to help me!!

 

 

 

We did work on the garden area around the hot tub and along side the house on Saturday and your mother finished up on Sunday.  We were searching for ideas on how to hide the trash cans on the side of the house since it is a criminal act if someone sees your trash can from the street.  I wanted to buy a big tree to hide them but your mother is so so about it so we ended up with a small fence screen for now.  It doesn't cover them completely but other neighbors are doing the same thing so hopefully the garbage police won't send us a letter! 

 

 

Sean and Taylor stopped over to see how we were coming along on Saturday and ended up staying for dinner.  They seemed to really like the patio but the game was on so after about 20 minutes we ended up in the house for the 2nd half.

 

 

 

 

All in all we are very pleased with the project and we are getting great comments on how it looks.  We have to let the wood dry out for about 90 days then we plan on having it painted...I think they call it Antique White or Beach house white or something like that.  Not a bright white but a washed out white...I think?
