The First Fire

Well kids last Wednesday night I got home to many surprises!  Your mother was off work that day and she must have had a couple 5 hour energy shots!  She was extremely busy cleaning the crap scrapping room, emptying closets, throwing away things, doing laundry and so on.

But the big surprise was she built a fire and had it burning in our new fire pit.  She also made some soup for dinner so we ate out back on the new patio next to a fire in the new fire pit!  After that she went in the hot tub for a dip but I just stood and talked to her from the patio.

Nice surprise to get us over hump day!

    Made soup as in opened a can and heated it or was a REAL woman and made it from scratch? I believe you should only open a CAN when making soup!!!!

    We could have used that fire pit out here in Tucson last night. It got down to 17 degrees real quick and was was in the mid 20s by 9pm. It was so cold that I put my droplight with a 100w bulb in the water compartment so no pipes would freeze there. It raises the temp about 10 degrees and the compartments are usually about 7 degrees above the outside temp. Now I am waiting to thaw out the water faucet and reconnect the water hose. Its around 11am and I will have to pour hot water on the faucet to thaw it out. We have water in the fresh water tank, so all is well with having water for the time being.

    Can't wait for you and Barb to come out and visit with us.

    Note: It was a record low for Tucson last night.

    You are really going to have a great time with your new patio. It is awesome. Bet you are glad it is done so you can now sit back and enjoy the fires. Have fun. BTW we are supposed to get some snow tonight but only a couple of inches. Heard it is coming up from MD??
