Gerry do you remember that once we got there and went to claim our luggage it was all open and someone had gone through it and they stole our film but everything else was ok. If I remember right in Costa Rica the only people allowed in the airport are the ones traveling so you guys couldn't even come in to help us. Next thing I know some security guys came up to us and said follow me and they took us around all the lines and we avoided security and before we knew it we were standing outside with you! I still think Larry had something to do with it but he won't admit to it??
Anyway I stayed for a week but Barbara and the kids were there for a month. We visited lots of sites including a Volcano, the beach and many local shops/sites/events. One day when you think of it you will have to tell the kids about what happens on Halloween and how many trick or treaters you got.
Irazu Volcano
Trip to the east coast beach where coconuts almost fell on our heads
These ox carts are very popular and they paint them all up. We still keep one on our mantel.
This shop was called Don Carlos...Barbara was spending too much money even back then!
Dinner at Lukas, you tried to trick me into eating cow tongue but I knew something was up so I didn't go for it.
Good times, so so food, great sites and certainly should be on your bucket list!
First of all - are you picking your nose in the first picture?
ReplyDeleteSecond of all - I am not sure I have enough time for all the stuff you tell me to put on my bucket list (and I KNOW I don't have enough money).
Sandy
OMG, Mom, you look SO YOUNG! You really do look like my sister. No wonder people always said that! I loved Costa Rica! Thanks for the wonderful memories, Henry. BTW, Dad DID have something to do with the security..at least to get us out of there, not the pilfering of our items! I can't remember his name, but Mom & Dad can fill in that part!
ReplyDeleteSure hope you're feeling tons better Dad, you need to relieve some of Mom's stress!
Love,
Barbara/Mom
