Vacation-Day 3

Well kids all of us were a little tired from a weekend of travel and races plus Grandpa Clark had to go to PT for his knee replacement so we decided to hang out at the RV park Monday morning.  Grandma Clark showed us all around the park during a walk so we finally could see all the things that they talk about in their blog.

Once Grandpa got back we were off to Saguaro National Park to look at the cactus.  I really had no clue how many different type cactus there were and to be honest I can't remember the names so I will leave that up to your mother to put in her comments.  This park is a 8 mile road that weaves around the dessert with several pull off spots and trails to walk.  You have to be careful because there are a lot of rattle snacks and other creatures around...I let your mother lead!

Road Runner

As you can see just miles of cactus

BTW your mother had the camera for most of the day so we now have 492 cactus pictures but I will only show you a few of them.

Cactus live to between 100-150 years then they look like this

This was the "crown" jewel that your mother and grandmother looked for all day...they call them crowns at the top of the cactus.

From there we stop for dinner at Montgomery's which is one of their favorite local restaurants.  The food was excellent and they had a DQ in the parking lot so guess what we had every night on the way home...my favorite...Blizzard's!  As an added bonus it was buy one/get one for .99!

Just heard we are supposed to get 3 to 6 inches of snow today into tomorrow. Albany supposed to get 5 to 8. David and Gail fly out just before the storm starts.
