Vacation--Day 2

Well kids today was the first of two races planned for our vacation...guess where...that's right Phoenix!

We were up early and we had breakfast at the same restaurant, Bill Johnson's that we ate at yesterday.  From there we drove just outside the track at a convention center to park and ride the school buses to the track.  It was a great idea and saved a lot of walking plus it only cost $7 per car load.

We had some great seats under the suites so we didn't have any sun on us but the weather was warm enough to make it perfect.  Roid-rage Carl Edwards won the race and unfortunately did not fall on his big head when he did a back flip!  Again the race was great and we really liked the track.

Our seats were under the suites

Rattle Snake Hill is what they call this area

Harvick taking the lead...ok well maybe not but it's my blog and I can lie if I want!

This is exactly where she belongs...they clocked her top speed while hooked up to the tow truck!

After the race your grandparents Clark met us at the hotel to drive us back to Tucson where we planned on spending the next 4 days with them.  It is about a 2 hour drive so we decided to all have dinner together at....you guessed it Bill Johnson's Steakhouse.

  1. Good picture of the backflip. All you need on vacation is ONE good restaurant and looks like you found it!

  2. Yeah Carl!!! Love to see the back flip in person!! Phoenix was fantastic! I would have loved to be in the sun, but probably would have started my vacation red as a lobster! So, probably a perfect idea after all. This was the day to see all 4 parents! Probably my favorite time of the vacation!! Love, Love me some parent time...maybe that's why I love kids time and Griffin time..
Thanks Moms & Dads for an amazing vacation!!!
