In 2002 things were a little more relaxed then they are now and we were able to work out getting garage passes through my work. Once inside the garage you are supposed to stay with your group but we usually ended up wondering around on our own. It was pretty cool to bring people right into the garage to watch them work on the cars. Most race fans never have this opportunity which makes it even more special and more appreciated by the ones we could take.
Enjoy and you will see plenty of Charlotte race pictures in years to come!

ReplyDeleteHAPPY MEMORIAL DAY to all and thank GOD for our brave men & women who fight daily for our freedom!
You sure had good times and so we also benefited from it now and then. Actually still benefiting...Phoenix & Las Vegas :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Memorial Day to everyone. Wish it were a bit warmer here and the wind would stop blowing but at least the sun it is. Have a great weekend everyone.
Thank you again for not buying me the Mark Martin shirt that year. It would still be in my closet. Gentlemen, start your engines.
ReplyDeleteHope this year's race is fun for you, too. Barb, maybe some of those things Henry didn't mention were skipped over for a reason. Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteHappy Memorial Day to all from us, too. Definitely want to thank all those who are protecting our freedoms! Won't forget those who gave their all, either!! May they rest in peace.
