Chicago-Harry Caray's

Well kids to finish out Saturday we ate dinner at Harry Caray's restaurant which is located on the Navy Pier.  For those of you who don't know Harry Caray was a famous baseball announcer for the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.  He is certainly a legend in this town and at Wrigley Field which you will see in a couple of days.

As you can see behind his head is all the famous people that stood by him.

  1. Harry Caray was the long time announcer for the St. Louis Cardinal baseball team before he went to the Chicago Cubs. The rumor is that he was friendly (very) with the wife of the Cardinal's owner and they all agreed it was time for Harry to seek employment elsewhere.

    Holy Cow fans.

  2. Gerry's & my Dad loved to listen to the baseball games. He rooted for the Cubs but couldn't stand Caray!

  3. That was a lot of fun having dinner there. We had a great waitress who, seems always happens, zeros in on the troublemaker of the group Henry and not you son. Fun times and a must see place if you ever go there.
