The Game and Dinner

Well kids we had a short walk to the game and then about 2,000 steps to go up to our seats...half our group was on the top row and the other half a few down from them.  Carter-Finley stadium is a great place to watch a game and even though we had to climb 2,000 steps, the seats were perfect!

ECU took command of the game early and never looked back but there were some exciting plays and when it was all said and done, no one was speaking to Jared except for me!

No worries by the time we got back to the car and the State fans washed their grief down with another beer all was forgotten and now food was on our mind.

Speaking of food the original plan was to go to 42nd Street Oyster Bar but the boys were afraid that we wouldn't make it on time and made me cancel the reservation...as it turned out we had plenty of time...just saying Sean & Jared!  Hannah and Taylor worked out a backup restaurant close by called the Carolina Ale House.
  

 

Great restaurant with lots of TV's to catch up on all the games...as a matter of fact I think I saw a score 80-20 on a game that our friends Gail & Kyle were interested in...when I shared that with Gail she had two text words back to me...BITE ME!!!  I guess that meant ODU didn't have the 80 points!

Great Day, Great Company, Good Game and a long ride back home but it's all worth it to have some bonding time and celebrate Stephanie's Birthday...by the way did I mention that she is 28 this year...hard to believe that I am married to a woman with kids that old!!
